On Sunday night, David Bowie passed away. His enormous influence on music, fashion and art is immeasurable, and the depths of mourning from fans around the world has been overwhelming. On a personal level, it's almost impossible to measure the inspiration he has been for me throughout my life. We lost more than a rock star, we lost a figure who, for generations, has shown us the reward of a life lived without compromise, with vision, with passion. Bowie showed all of us the reward of living with no fear. This is the legacy he's left us in his work and his example, for all the freaks, the outcasts, the dreamers, the builders out there. To paraphrase a tweet from earlier this week, the world has been around for over four billion years, and we we were lucky enough to live at the same time as David Bowie. In his own words, "Tomorrow belongs to those who hear it coming." Goodbye, spaceboy. We'll try to keep moving forward, together, fearless, hearts open.
